Sixty-eight patrons and two premises owners were slapped with compounds totalling RM70,000 following raids conducted at two entertainment outlets in the city centre last night.

Police raided an entertainment centre here at midnight yesterday and issued compounds totalling RM580,000 to 112 patrons for violating the SOP of the PPN.

A businessman and his partner were fined RM1,500 each for flouting the SOPs while distributing food bank assistance at a restaurant last month.

A total of 1,919 premises have been compounded for violating the SOPs under Phase One of the National Recovery Plan (PPN) through the operation codenamed 'Op Patuh' from June 25 to July 4.

A total of 440 individuals were arrested for violating the standard operating procedure (SOP) of the Movement Control Order (MCO) yesterday, with 435 compounded and five remanded.
